In Spain, it is estimated that 1 in 3 women will develop cancer in their lifetime. Against this backdrop, the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer-Cycle Against Cancer was formed in 2013. The organization is committed to improving the quality of life of cancer patients and their families by providing emotional, financial, and practical support. One way the organization raises money is through the sale of cancer awareness bracelets (pulseras).
There are many different types of cancer, so there is not one specific pulsera (bracelet) for the condition. However, some bracelets that claim to support cancer patients or awareness may say “ACS” for the American Cancer Society, “Relay For Life” or “cancer survivor”
